NCA's Most Innovative New Product Awards!

40 nominations will be given to companies showcasing the most innovative ideas, concepts and products in the confectionery and snacks industry across eight categories. Categories include:

  • Chocolate
  • Non chocolate
  • Sweet snacks
  • Salty snacks
  • Savory
  • Novelty / licensed
  • Seasonal
  • Gourmet / premium

Like last year, a panel of experts made up of retail customers, food industry icons and trend experts, will again help NCA narrow the field of more than 200 expected product entries.

Industry representatives from some of the nation’s leading retail and wholesale companies have already committed to taking part in the 2013 panel including:

•   Eby-Brown Company
•   Garvey Candy & Nut (Wythe Will/Tzetzo)
•   IT'SUGAR!
•   Meijer
•   Saatchi & Saatchi X
•   Sam's Club
•   The NPD Group
•   Walgreens
•   Walmart

Television reporter and food marketing expert Phil Lempert will act as a facilitator to guide the collaborative process of the panel to reach an agreement of five nominations in each category. The panel-selected product nominees will be displayed in the Most Innovative New Product Awards showcase located within the New Product Showcase.

All retail and wholesale trade customers will also have an opportunity to select one winner in each of the eight categories at the Most Innovative New Product Awards showcase. Phil Lempert will announce winners in each of the eight categories at the EXPO's keynote session on Wednesday morning.
